Jim’s Blackberry Sweet Potato Smoothie

Modified from recipe of Dr. Michael Greger


  • Blackberries, for which our store is named! About 1-2 cups, sourced from just about anywhere around here.

  • Turmeric root from our Co-op/Farm Stand, about 3/8 of an inch worth

  • Purple sweet potatoes, sourced from our Co-op/Farm Stand, boiled for 9 minutes (1 smallish to medium sized sweet potato sliced up)

  • Wheat germ (1 tablespoon)

  • Amla powder (1/4 teaspoon)

  • Cranberry powder (1 teaspoon)

  • Matcha (1.5 teaspoons)

  • Ginger powder (1/4 teaspoon) sourced from our Co-op/Farm Stand

  • Rose Hip powder 1.25 teaspoons

  • Strawberry powder 1.5 teaspoons

  • Date syrup (2 Tablespoons)more if you want it sweeter

  • Soymilk made fresh from Co-op/Farm Stand soybeans, about 4 cups


Blend all of the above in a food blender until smooth. It has loads of antioxidants.
