Welcome to the new monthly letter just for the BFC community.
We are going to have a little fun as we work together to build a more resilient local food system! Thank you for being here, and for sharing in this mission.
Announcements & Opportunities
Updated Hours
BFC will be closed on Sundays.
We will keep working to optimize store hours based on resources available (both human and financial). Keep shopping. Keep showing up. We will keep working to make the best store possible.

Pick up New Member-Owner Cards
If you have recently purchased your membership, stop by the co-op to pick up your member-owner card! If you were one of the first 200 members and have not received your card, stop by the store and tell us your number. We will reprint and get it ready for pick-up. Note: We print these in batches, so if your membership was purchased only in the last week or so, it will not be there yet.

First Ever Annual Report
In case you missed it, we put out our FIRST EVER Annual report. And it is awesome. See it here.

Did we mention the GRAND OPENING?
If, for reasons known only to yourself, you have been waiting for the perfect time to come and shop — this is it! BFC is stocked up and ready to celebrate.

Calling all Backyard Farmers!
Calling all Backyard Farmers!
It is the tune we dance to and the reason we get up in the morning — we want to bring clean food grown here in our community, to the people who live here in our community!
Scott always bought produce from backyard farmers. It is one of the things that made the Farm Stand special.
The BFC has re-instituted that practice and created criteria for it to happen.
Any gardener with an abundant plum tree or green thumb growing kale by the boxful can come in and fill out a quick form about their practices and growing. We will keep the forms and get to know you, with the goal of understanding your crops, and even reaching out when plum season is coming up to check on the season’s bounty.
Some folks might be selling a bunch of stuff, and we may ask to come out and take pics to highlight your garden in this very newsletter.
You can also come by the Co-op and grab a copy to fill out.
